Architectural Film

← Back to Services

Architectural films for buildings, institutions, and cultural projects that demand more than photography can deliver alone. Direction, cinematography, and post-production handled end to end. Work that has screened at international film festivals and been commissioned by NEOM, KAFD, and the Royal Commission for AlUla.

Who This Is For

Architecture firms and developers who need a film to accompany a flagship project — for awards submissions, investor presentations, or media releases. Cultural institutions commissioning documentary-quality work about a building or place. Government bodies that require cinematic documentation of infrastructure and heritage projects at a national level.

The work is not promotional video. It is film — directed, composed, and edited with the same precision as the architecture it documents.

The Approach

Every film commission starts with a concept — what is this building trying to say, and what is the film trying to make the viewer feel? The cinematography, pacing, and edit all serve that idea. A building film should not be a walkthrough. It should be an experience.

Production is handled through Mass House Studio, a full-service production company. Crew, equipment, casting, and post-production are managed in-house. The client deals with one point of contact from brief to delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a film production take from brief to delivery?
For a standard architectural short film (three to five minutes), allow four to eight weeks from brief sign-off to final delivery. This includes concept development, pre-production, filming, and post-production. Larger documentary-format productions require more time and are scoped individually.
Can photography and film be shot in the same production?
Yes, and for flagship buildings this is strongly recommended. A combined still and motion production is more cost-efficient than two separate commissions, and it ensures visual consistency across all deliverables. The two outputs serve different channels but they read as a unified body of work.
What formats are the final films delivered in?
Standard deliverables are a master file at 4K resolution, a web-optimised version for online platforms, and aspect ratio variants for social media where required. All files are colour-graded and mixed to broadcast standard.
