Recognition at Arab Film Studio

Recently, I had the honor of being recognized at the Arab Film Studio (AFS) Recognition Ceremony in Abu Dhabi. AFS, an initiative by Image Nation Abu Dhabi, has been instrumental in my journey as a filmmaker, providing guidance, skill-building opportunities, and support to bring my visions to life.

One of those visions was UMAH, a documentary that was different from conventional storytelling approaches. Rather than relying on spoken dialogue, UMAH is a non-verbal audio-visual experience. The film communicates through images and sounds, inviting viewers into a unique, immersive world.

Creating UMAH was not without its challenges, but it was a rewarding journey of growth and learning. AFS facilitated this journey, encouraging me to push boundaries and think outside the box. Their resources and expertise were invaluable in shaping UMAH from a mere concept to a fully realized film.

The success of UMAH at various international film festivals underscored the impact of unique storytelling and the potential of Arab cinema. Each award was not just an individual achievement but also a testament to the support and nurturing environment provided by Arab Film Studio and Image Nation.
