Architectural film in Riyadh, directing film and videography for KSA developments and cultural institutions. The largest body of this work is King Abdullah Financial District, filmed alongside the stills across three sessions, plus coverage of the Noor Riyadh festival.
Named Work
KAFD was filmed as part of the same year-long commission that produced the photography, video coverage of the district running alongside the stills across all three sessions rather than as a separate booking.
Noor Riyadh, the city's light art festival, has been covered on film across two commissions: interviews with participating artists, and coverage of the installations themselves as they were staged around the city.
How a Film Is Directed
Direction follows the same logic as the photography: a building or an installation is scouted for when it actually takes light, and the schedule is built around that rather than fitted into a convenient hour.
Riyadh is a working base alongside Dubai, so film and photography on the same commission are planned together rather than as two separate hires.
