King Abdullah Financial District
Commissioned to document the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, spanning over a year of photography across the district. KAFD features over 90 buildings designed by Zaha Hadid, Foster + Partners, and Henning Larsen, making it the world's largest LEED Platinum certified mixed-use business center. As the KAFD photographer across this commission, the aerial cityscape work went on to win 1st Place in Cityscapes at the International Photography Awards 2025.
The series was built around visual storytelling as much as architectural documentation, composing images that communicate not just what the district looks like but what it represents as a benchmark for sustainable urban development. For each of the 90 buildings, thousands of images were produced covering ground level to aerial, daytime to night, photography and video.
The work was recognized at the Créateurs Design Awards in Paris and the Grand Prix du Design in Montreal, both awarding it Best Architecture Photography Project of the Year. It also received Best Architecture Exterior Photography Project of the Year at the Architecture Masterprize and was published in several books, making it one of the most recognized architectural photography projects across the industry.
