Access, Permits and Aerial Work in New York
New York City prohibits drone takeoff and landing across the city outside a small number of designated sites, and the airspace is controlled besides, so aerial coverage is not a matter of turning up with a drone. What works is elevated access from neighbouring buildings, arranged as a permission during pre-production, and that is usually the stronger frame for a tower in any case.
Access to a private building, an occupied hotel or a working office is a coordination problem rather than an obstacle. Windows are agreed with building management and operations in advance so the shoot day runs without disruption.
How an International Commission Is Run
