Aerial and drone photography in Dammam and the Eastern Province, including a multi-mall retail campaign covering Nakheel Mall Dammam and Dhahran Mall. Clearance arranged in advance, frames planned rather than discovered, and aerial integrated with ground based work as a single commission.
Nakheel Mall Dammam and the Eastern Province Retail Campaign
Aerial and ground coverage of Nakheel Mall Dammam and Dhahran Mall, part of a wider multi-city retail campaign across the Eastern Province and beyond. The brief called for both a ground-level photoshoot and aerial coverage of each property, giving the client a consistent set of assets that reads scale and setting the way a single ground frame cannot.
Retail and mall sites bring their own scheduling logic: operating hours, footfall, and site management sign-off all shape when the aerial window actually opens, and that is planned for rather than discovered on the day.
Clearance Is the Commission
Aerial operations require civil aviation clearance, and Dammam carries controlled airspace that makes nothing about drone work here safe to assume. Approvals are site and date specific, arranged well ahead of the shoot rather than in the week before.
Corporate and industrial-adjacent sites frequently carry security protocols and escort requirements established before the shoot. Where clearance is not available for a location, elevated positions from neighbouring buildings or the terrain deliver the equivalent frame, secured during pre-production rather than improvised on the day.
Method and Practicalities
The Nakheel Mall and Dhahran Mall work is a useful model for how retail and commercial aerial commissions run here: ground and aerial coverage sequenced across a single visit, timed around sunrise or sunset for each property rather than shot flat through the middle of the day.
Dammam and the Eastern Province are covered from the Riyadh or Dubai base as regular work, travel included. Retouching is fine art realistic, and full commercial usage rights are included for the commissioning client.
